Anything and Everything About Diabetes and DiaBuddies

My journey…

My journey as a type 1 diabetic began in 2004, when I was only 16 years old. It was a devastating diagnosis to process and accept, as I had never even heard of diabetes before and no one in my family had it. But, in time, I learned to cope with the challenges and eventually embrace it.

Since my diagnosis, I have taken a proactive approach to managing my condition. From reading up on research studies and articles online to connecting with other diabetics worldwide through support groups and forums, I have sought out ways to better understand this disorder and how it affects me on a daily basis.

I’ve also invested in the best medical care available for my condition. I’m proud to say that after almost two decades of managing diabetes with dedication and consistency, my blood sugar levels remain within an acceptable range(so far so good! Touchwood!).

As someone living with diabetes for so long, it’s my mission now to spread knowledge about the disorder and advocate for those affected by it around the world – especially if it helps others manage their own conditions or learn more about their bodies. So that’s why I’m starting this blog page – to educate everyone about diabetes in the hopes of reducing its stigma and helping more people live healthier lives despite its effects.

I’ll be sharing all sorts of information on this page – from basic facts about diabetes to personal stories from people living with diabetes every day. The goal is not only to inform but also inspire everyone who visits this page; after all, we can all learn something new every day!

This blog page is open to anyone who wants to discuss anything related to diabetes – thoughts, suggestions, criticisms – they’re all welcome! I hope that together we will be able to make a difference in fighting this giant enemy called diabetes and bring peace of mind into our lives.
